Named after long-time community supporter of kids in sports, Lon Stanley, the park has served the community since the late 1980s. Stanley field was restored by the City of Long Bea

ch in 2017 to include both soccer and softball fields to better serve the Peninsula community, the park’s local neighborhood, and visitors.
