Friday Victory Report coming in 🔥🔥🔥
This week we're shouting out members Mario, Alyssa and Ben!

Hear some of their stories below:
Alyssa:
"I took about a month off the gym to take care of some big life changes but couldn’t stay away any longer. Today I’ll finish my first full week back and I gotta say, I really missed this place. I love the members, the coaches, and the community support that keeps me accountable."
Welcome back 🎉🎉

Mario:
"I joined Metcon about 3 months ago after told me how great it was. I was hesitant at first because I was afraid to get hurt especially with my weight. I found though that everything can be modified and the coaches are awesome and a great help! Day 1 I couldn't even do 1 air squat and three months later I'm doing 150lb back squats! I've also lost about 16lb and find myself with more energy, confidence and flexibility. I still have a ways to go, but I'm very happy I joined!"

Ben:
"I've made significant progress on back squats and deadlifts! When it comes to back squats, I have witnessed my strength increase over the course of 9 months. At the start of this year I injured my back trying to back squat too heavy of a weight that made me rethink how I approached this movement. I took the coaches advice on perfecting form and gradually increased in weight. During the most recent testing week, I set a new back squat PR of 195 #. Deadlift is another movement that I've made significant progress on. I've been focusing on keeping a straight back and on my overall stance when performing the movement. I also set a new PR of 225 # on deadlifts during testing week! Overall, I've come to realize that the coaches really want athletes to perfect these movements and to grow stronger by focusing on form over anything else. I see the way it is programmed into the workouts and it has definitely made me a better athlete!"

Friday Victory Report coming in hot!

"Since I've started working out years ago I've ALWAYS wanted to be able to do a pull-up and never been able to. The past couple of months I've continually stuck to the progressions that have been programmed and techniques the coaches have had me do. Continually been trying before class for a few minutes every time and could feel myself getting stronger and using the correct muscles/technique. Three weeks ago, I got my first one, and this week during testing I had no idea I was able to do back to back pull-ups.
Stoked is an understatement, at 30 years old I've accomplished something in my life that I've never been able to do. Usually people stop trying new things once they're adults because we're stubborn. But I hate feeling defeated."

"I was looking to get in the best shape possible. The gym keeps me accountable! I have more energy, my clothes are fitting better and I see the small changes."
