Getting rounds in at the 360 Mexico Summit 2026.

We had 52 attendees at this year’s Summit. As we introduced our new 360 Fight Kit, 12 participants volunteered to step in and test themselves.

Do you have to fight when you attend a 360 Summit? No.

But fighting has an important place in how we train.

If we want students to be able to perform physically and mentally under pressure, we have to reverse engineer our training from that goal.

That means developing technique, drilling it, adding resistance and pressure, and eventually giving students opportunities to test themselves.

Not everyone has to fight.

But everything we teach should help prepare them for the moment when things get real — on or off the mat.

Technique → Drill → Spar → Fight

That’s 360 Krav Maga.

Most people are taught how to move forward. Few are taught why.

Advancing isn’t just about taking a step. It has a purpose.

1. Advance to stalk.
You move to maintain your range and your ability to strike. If your opponent retreats and you stay still, you’ve given up your advantage. Good fighters pressure with intent, not emotion.

2. Advance to close the distance.
Sometimes your goal isn’t to stay at striking range—it’s to get inside. Whether you’re clinching, controlling, or escaping a disadvantage, your footwork serves a purpose.

The mistake is advancing without understanding why you’re doing it.

Every movement should solve a problem. Every step should have intention.

Don’t just practice movement. Practice decision-making.

That’s what creates better fighters—and more capable people.

One criticism of Krav Maga has been that many instructors had gaps in their training.

There is truth to that.

But something else is also true.

Many of today’s Krav Maga instructors have been teaching for 20, 30, and even 40 years. They continue to train, cross-train, study, and evolve.

They’ve spent decades learning from boxers, wrestlers, grapplers, kickboxers, MMA fighters, military personnel, law enforcement, and other martial artists.

The result is a generation of instructors bringing more complete training to their students than ever before.

Every class at 360 starts with the same foundation.

Punches. Kicks. Elbows. Knees. Falls.

For instructors, it can feel repetitive.

For students, it’s not.

Most students train 2-3 times per week. What an instructor sees 20 times per week, a student might only see twice.

Kids use this time to develop coordination, balance, and body mechanics.

Adults often use it to rebuild coordination and body mechanics that have been lost over time.

Group classes cannot be run like a fighter’s training session. The goal is to develop the individual in front of us.

Foundation only takes a few minutes, but over months and years it becomes one of the most powerful tools we have to build capable, confident students.

Attack the attacker.

The technique isn’t the goal. The technique simply puts us in a range where the stick becomes less effective and where we can become aggressive.

Once there, the objective is not to survive the attack.

The objective is to finish the fight.
