What an incredible HONDA classic this weekend! After a FOUR WAY tie at -8 for the whole course, there was a playoff that emerged Henley as the winner of the Honda Classic 2014. Amazing golf and a tough course that truly had the golfers working their hardest! Who were you cheering for?

The Farmer's Insurance Tournament just passed in San Diego and the standings have left Jimmy Walker at the top of the 2014 FedExCup. Next tournament up is the Phoenix Open from Jan. 30- Feb. 2 with partly cloudy skies!

We all remember the stretches from P.E. in grade school, but those stretches still apply and are recommended before starting your game of golf! They include toe touches, quad stretches, lower back/trunk rotation, and more! Make sure to look up and do these stretches before and even when your not playing golf to stay limber (Like the photo!) and avoid any strains that may keep you from the game! :)

Integrity- the heart of golf. With cameras only on certain players during tournaments, the penalties for moving a ball – intentionally or not- has been placed on some golfers and not others who were lucky enough to not be videoed. Because of this on Tuesday the USGA and the Royal and Ancient have decided that starting January 1, the armchair rules official will be marginalized by a new Rule that decrees a ball moving that can’t reasonably be seen by the naked eye will not result in a penalty in order to bring a fair rule to all players and bring back the heart of golf. Golfs ruling bodies are making it more difficult for viewers to call in infractions they see on TV. Thats a good thing for the sports soul.

How do professional golfers like Rory McIlroy get to be so good!? PRACTICE. Both Tiger and Rory are known for their tremendous backyard practice facilities that include replicas of difficult shots from around the world including the "Road Hole" bunker at St. Andrew's (pictured). Point being- practice makes perfect and getting out there for 9 holes can get you some repetition on short game and putts for your real game! See you on the course!
