Congratulations Asher! Way to represent our program and make a positive impact in our community! We love seeing our Bearcats involved and represented on the Mayor’s Youth Council!

We’re excited to kick off a new year with our 2026–2027 Long Beach Mayor’s Youth Council!

Our first meeting was all about getting to know one another and setting the stage for the year ahead. Members participated in a SWOT analysis to identify our community’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and help guide where we’re headed this year. We’re excited to see the ideas and perspectives these young leaders bring to the City of Long Beach!

We can’t wait to formally induct our 2026–2027 Mayor’s Youth Council members at the September 15th Board of Aldermen meeting.

Special night for our program last night!

Former Bearcat great Alexander Mink earned the start in his first NCAA Division I game as the UTRGV Vaqueros opened their season with a exciting 3-2 win over West Florida!

Way to continue representing our program and community so well at the highest level, Alexander. We’re incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to keep following your journey!
