The oldest trail marathon in the United States, the legendary Wild Wild West Marathon, and UIltra have been held for 45 years! Join us for a super scenic trail race that goes through the great Alabama Hills and the foothills of Mt. Water stops or aid stations are located approximately every four miles along with one of American's most scenic trail races. We offer 50-mile and 50km ultramarathons, a

26.2-mile marathon, and a ten-mile race. If you want clean air, safe surroundings, and spectacular scenery, if you and your family would like to enjoy a day of running, or you want to run a challenging race, this is the race for you. As is the case every year, our team of super experienced, super supportive volunteers from the Lone Pine Community, along with Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce Staff and Board Members, will be out in force to support the runners. If you or your family or friends would like to volunteer at the race, please contact us! Pacers
50-mile runners are permitted one pacer beginning at Horseshoe Meadows Road (mile 37). However, this pacer must complete the remainder of the course (13 miles) with their runner from this point. Rides will not be provided to pacers who drop. Pacers must sign an event waiver at runner check-in on Friday or at Horseshoe Meadows Road aid station on Saturday.

Fun Facts you might not know about the Wild Wild West Marathon

1. It's older than you think. We've been doing this since 1979! Making it one of the oldest trail marathons in the country with almost 50 years of runners tackling our backyard 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
2. You'll be running through a movie set! The Alabama Hills have starred in hundreds of Westerns and Films over the decades. 🎥
3. Once epic race, four ways to suffer.. From the 10 mile, marathon, 50k, or 50 mile there's a distance with your name on it.
4. It starts and ends right in the heart of Lone Pine. The entire community gets a front row seat to the start and the finish line celebration! 🌄
5. Runners keep coming back. Nearly 300 finishers a year, and most of them return the following season. It's less of a one time bucket list type of race and more of a tradition that people build their springs around.
