In our last post, we neglected to mention the casualty from our last trip…the refrigerator. Yesterday, Shannon Huff came by to help get the dinette window removed so we could swap in a new one. 11 hours of blood, sweat and tears, and we are up and running. We are so grateful for his experience and willingness to get this job done!

We’re back from our first race weekend of the year at London Dragway, and what a weekend it was.

The new motorhome was an absolute game changer after living out of our gooseneck trailer for the past several years—definitely a big upgrade for the whole team (2-legged and 4-legged🐶)

On the racing side, we’re working through the Calais one step at a time. We got thrown right into the new grid ignition setup, but with Wes May’s expert help, we were able to troubleshoot and get things sorted out.

We made our first pass during test and tune Friday night and spent the rest of the session dialing in the shifter and transmission setup. Saturday we got four solid passes in and started getting more comfortable in the car.

Sunday threw us another curveball when we lost the vacuum pump belt—and of course, the spare was sitting in the mailbox back home. We made a workaround to keep us going, but our day ended after Chris went red by .0001 in round 4.

All in all, a great first weekend with a lot of progress made. Huge thank you to London Dragway for putting on a first-class event. We’re excited to keep building and improving from here.

Six years ago, we made the move to Tennessee with a plan—slow down a little, semi-retire, and spend more time doing what we love most: racing.

Like most good stories, the road didn’t go exactly as planned. There were a few unexpected detours along the way, but every turn brought us closer to where we are now.

As of today, we’re officially retired—and ready to get back to it.

This weekend, we’re heading to London Dragway with the new Outlaw Trailers trailer and the Calais, which has been steadily getting upgrades and attention over the past two years. We’re excited to finally put it back where it belongs—on the track.

Let’s go racing. 🏁

Winter’s slow pace is fading fast — racing season is right around the corner! 🏁🔥

It’s been a productive weekend gearing up for what’s shaping up to be an incredible year. The Calais made its way home from Richard Boling Race Cars after some major updates. She’s finally just about ready for action!

We also welcomed the newest addition to the shop — a junior dragster that will soon be piloted by the lovely Miss Emmy, who’s about to turn 9. Watching the next generation step into the sport makes this season even more special.

Racing has always been in our blood, a passion passed down through family, and we couldn’t be more excited to carry that tradition forward. All the pieces are coming together — this might just be our best season yet! 🏎️✨

We’re finally back home from the chaos of the Chicago suburbs — and we couldn’t be more excited to have brought home our new-to-us Dynamax motorhome for the racing operation! We were just getting too old to be sleeping 3 adults and 2 dogs in the 44’ gooseneck with a bathroom package.

The Norwalk race didn’t go as planned, but it could’ve ended much worse. We made it home safely and got the rear end pulled from the S10. The housing was cracked far worse than we first thought. Feeling extra grateful that the man upstairs was watching over us — and that Chris didn’t make another pass. 🙏

And that’s an early wrap for us here at the Spring Fling Bracket Races Summer Fling at Summit Motorsports Park. 💔 Cracked the rear axle housing and that’s all she wrote for the weekend. Not the outcome we hoped for, but we’ll regroup, rebuild, and come back stronger. 💪
