Today wrapped up the 2025-2026 bowling season for the Golden Eagles.
We were short several team members and struggled to make magic happen on the lanes today. Sophomore Hudson Rice led the team at Sectionals, see scores below.

Our Lady Eagles didn't quite finish how we had hoped today, but there was definitely lots of growth to be recognized this season. At Sectionals today, 5 out of the 8 bowlers playing Varsity were new this season - one of those being Junior Trinity Parker who led the team. Trinity missed the cut to move on to Districts individually by just 9 pins!

The MPHS Bowling team had a wonderful evening on Friday celebrating our Seniors, Taylor & Andy.

Taylor Fridley is a 3rd year member of the bowling team, and she was escorted by her parents, Gloria & Brian Fridley. Throughout high school Taylor has also been involved in Marching Band, Choir, and Drama Club. Her favorite memory specific to bowling is wearing the Gwynn pin for her teammate Gwynn during matches and tournaments. Taylor is most proud of finally coming out of her shell and not getting stressed out during matches. She remembers at one time she was banned from concessions during matches because it took too long for her to get a milkshake and finds it funny looking back. Taylor plans to go to college and major in Culinary Arts to become a Chef. Her biggest piece of advice for future players is that you should never give up on yourself and always believe in what you can do even if you don't think you can because there is always someone wanting to see you thrive and go far. Taylor would like to thank all of her supporters for believing in her, even when she didn't, cheering her up when she was down, and for support in her possible rap career.

Andy Wood is a 3rd year member of the bowling team who was escorted by parents, Marie & Michael Wood, and sister. Andy has been involved with golf, marching band, playing video games, and listening to music throughout his high school career and spare time. His favorite bowling memory is close between the time he broke 200 for the first time or when he watched a bowler from the London Team bowl a 300. Andy is most proud of his ability to consistently hit spares, and even some splits. He vividly remember s the first time he broke 200, and is proud to say it was also a clean game. Andy plans to either go to Ohio Northern or Wright State for Mechanical Engineering. His advice is to never give up, persistence can get you places you may have never thought possible. Andy wants to thank all those who have supported him along the way.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this night special for our 2 seniors, and thank you to our seniors for giving bowling a chance 3 years ago!
