A couple more came through the door today! 🦌
These two are next in line for European skull cleaning. From pronghorn to mule deer, we’re keeping the beetles busy around here!
We’ll share some progress along the way and, of course, the finished results.

Another bull elk is in the shop and headed to the beetles!
We’ll be taking it from fresh arrival to a clean European mount using our dermestid beetle colony.
There’s something pretty impressive about watching these little beetles do what they do best. 🪲

The beetles are officially on the clock! 🪲🦌
Our first bull elk of the season arrived yesterday for European skull cleaning, and by last night he was prepped and in the beetle tank.
As you can see in photo #2, our smallest employees reported for duty immediately. 😂
Dermestid beetles do an incredible job of cleaning around all those little details and hard-to-reach areas of the skull — and this crew was more than ready to get to work.
We’ll share his progress along the way so you can see the transformation from arrival → beetle tank → finished European mount.
One bull down, and the beetles are hungry!

When a friend calls and says he has a bear down…you go.
Last night turned into one of those adventures that reminds you why we love this life.
Getting to this bear meant crawling on our hands and knees through brush, then came the little matter of getting him back OUT. 😂
It wasn't easy, it wasn't graceful, and we had an absolute blast.
Good friends, a successful hunt, plenty of laughs and everyone pitching in to get the job done. By the time we made it back to the truck, we had another hunting story we'll be telling for years.
Congratulations to our friend on his bear — and thanks for letting us be a small part of the adventure.
This is the stuff you remember.

Employee orientation is going well.
So far they’ve mastered lunch breaks, nap breaks, shade breaks and taking breaks from their breaks. 😂
