Leading the way for our Cherokee Crush 16U squad is our Head Coach and Organization Owner, Brandon Evans.

In 2022, Brandon and his wife, Danika, started Cherokee Crush with one goal in mind: to build more than a softball organization. They wanted to create a family where players are challenged, supported, and given every opportunity to grow on and off the field.

His vision has always been clear - create a culture where hard work, accountability, and family come first. Every practice, every game, and every opportunity is about helping players grow into confident athletes and even better young women.

With a passion for developing athletes both on and off the field, Brandon is dedicated to building more than just a winning team—he’s building a family. From teaching the fundamentals to pushing players to reach their full potential, his commitment, energy, and leadership set the standard every single day.

Brandon brings years of playing experience to the dugout. A former catcher, he understands the game from every angle, and his baseball career included time in the Cincinnati Reds organization. That experience, combined with his passion for teaching, has shaped the competitive, player-first culture that defines Cherokee Crush.

Whether it’s developing fundamentals, preparing athletes for the next level, or building confidence one player at a time, Brandon is committed to helping every athlete become the best version of themselves.

This isn’t just about wins—it’s about hard work, accountability, and building a family that lasts far beyond the game.

Cherokee Crush was built because of one little girl with a big dream and an incredible love for the game. Without Alexis Colston’s passion for softball, this journey never would have started.

A dynamic outfielder with speed to spare, Alexis is tracking the ball before it leaves the bat. With sharp instincts and relentless hustle, she covers the outfield from gap to gap, chasing down fly balls and making momentum-changing catches look routine.

But her speed doesn’t stop on defense. At the plate, Alexis knows how to put pressure on the defense with perfectly placed bunts, turning routine plays into bang-bang races to first. Every time she reaches base, her quickness becomes a weapon.

Let’s show Alexis some love as she returns for another exciting season with Crush!
