Well Montpelier bites us again. the last 3 races of this season haven't been great, but it's over now and we get to rebuild better for next year.
Qualifying 20th of 37
Heat 7-6
Bmain 3rd to DNF
Started off the night with a much slicker track than expected, we qualified 20th. Of the 37 cars signed in.
Heat race I started 7th, and right from the green the car was good on the bottom. I passed a couple cars but got passed by another that started further back, so came to the checkered flag in 6th.
There were 2 b mains, we were in the first one. I noticed the middle groove looked like it still had some moisture when we lined up. At the start the guy on my outside got a run, and passed me lap 1. I immediately went to the middle, passed him back, and was making the pass for 2nd (the transfer position )out of turn 4 when the car started to feel sluggish, and coming out of turn 1 the motor locked up ending out night early.
Disappointing end to the night and the year, but we'll get a car put back together for next year and hopefully come back better and faster.
