Today we celebrated our 2025 state champions as Jada Adkins and Shelby Mullins were awarded championship rings for their AA State Tennis Doubles title. We are so proud of these two amazing athletes and we can’t wait to see what this season has in store for them and their teammates. Congratulations Jada and Shelby! We are so proud of your work ethic, grit and dedication to the sport.

LHS Tennis alum Jackson Akers and Chapmanville Regional alum Courtney Curnette crossed paths at the Janet Swanson Tennis Center in Washington, PA, as the Presidents of Washington and Jefferson College took on West Liberty in college tennis.

Congratulations to our Coach!

Marshall Health Network announced today that Justin Turner, Chief Operating Officer of Rivers Health, has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer at Logan Regional Medical Center, a member of Scion Health.

Turner will return to his hometown in late August.

β€œOn behalf of Marshall Health Network and the Rivers Health Board of Directors, we extend our sincere appreciation to Justin for his dedicated leadership and contributions to Rivers Health,” said Scott Raynes, President and CEO of Marshall Health Network. β€œJustin guided Rivers Health through important milestones and improvements, and his commitment to serving the community has been evident in all he does. While we will miss his leadership here, we are thrilled for him to have this opportunity to serve his hometown and continue making a positive impact in rural healthcare.”

Members of the Marshall Health Network executive team will provide interim leadership and operational support to ensure continuity of care and services while the search for a permanent Chief Operating Officer is underway.

The Logan girls tennis team secured the 2025 Class AA/A Region 4 championship last Tuesday. The Lady Wildcats overcame defending state champion Chapmanville to earn the title. As a team Logan will head into the state tournament ranked number one.
