Another successful river cleanup! We pulled 25 tires and a dumpster full of trash from the Hocking River.

The water was a little high, so we couldn’t get as much as we hoped, but the good news is there was definitely less trash than in previous years! We are making progress, in the last two river clean we collected over 160 tires! This time there was only 25 tires pulled!

We make our living on the Hocking River, but we do these cleanups because keeping it clean matters—for everyone who enjoys it. It’s one of our area’s best natural resources and a beautiful place worth taking care of.

Here are a few pictures from last year’s River Clean-Up! We pulled 85 tires out of the river, along with plenty of other trash.

We’re heading out again this Saturday at 8 a.m., and we still need volunteers. Our goal is to clean a 15-mile stretch of the river and get as much trash out as we can.

Everyone who helps will receive a **free canoe voucher**. Come spend the morning on the river with us and help make a difference! Send us a message if you can join.
