USU Aggies Claims Victory Over Idaho State In Blow-Out Fashion To Claim Series Win!
USU Aggies blew out Idaho State 15-4 on Wednesday.
USU Aggies got things started in the first inning when Alex Munns doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
USU Aggies notched five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by USU Aggies was led by Tobie Swenson, Michael Kress, and Isaiah Norman, all driving in runs in the frame.
Mitch Coughlin was the winning pitcher for USU Aggies. He went four innings, allowing two runs on three hits and walking one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Sam Busche, Jack DeSpain, Jayden Berensen, and Justice Purser all securing outs and ultimately the victory.
Pieper took the loss for Idaho State. He allowed ten hits and eight runs over three and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero.
USU Aggies scattered 19 hits in the game. Easton Walker, Munns, Kress, Swenson, Patrick Zahn, and Norman all had multiple hits for USU Aggies. Swenson, Kress, Munns, and Walker each managed three hits to lead USU Aggies.
Long led Idaho State with two hits in four at bats.
