Just keep swimming 🐠 we are in week 3 for new students! Hi there! I just want to clarify that my summer schedule is full at the moment. The best time to inquire for lessons to ensure your child can get in is the winter months from November-February when we aren’t usually thinking of the pool ☀️ once my next session opens, I will be reaching out to families on my waitlist. I’m always advocating for this because I think it’s so important to continue working on your child’s skills. 🏊‍♀️ If you have a pool at home and especially if you don’t have a pool at home. You can always text me (if you’re a current family) to schedule a maintenance lesson or a drop in. By doing so, your refresher sessions are much shorter as your child has been working on their skills more frequently. If you have questions about this, feel free to email me! I keep open spots (for maintenance and make ups only) every session. Maintenance lessons are for students who recently finished their sessions. If you’ve gone longer than four-six months, a refresher session is needed ☀️ Credit:

Children learn through their physical experiences with water, not because of our verbal rules and warnings. If they don’t have skills yet, make sure they have all their fun while in your arms or within arms’ reach. Water is the last place we can afford to have a child be over confident. Consider that “swimming” in a floatie creates false and dangerous confidence. Consider that drowning happens during non-swim time when kids make it make to the water, alone, unskilled, and over confident. If your kid is crying at swim lessons, asking for you, this is excellent. The tears won’t last and the respect and reality check could very well save their life. Before you know it, they’ll have skills to enjoy for a lifetime.

📣 Announcement 📣 I will be taking my maternity leave at the beginning of September as we wait for the arrival of our sweet baby ❤️ if you have questions about refreshers or maintenance lessons during this time—please reach out via email. Also, emails for summer session have been sent today! Be on the lookout for a couple more before we get started. I look forward to seeing you all (& I know Mr. Erik and Scottie are too 🤗)
