12U Wildcats Defeats Franco’s Metro Pizza In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong in the circle on Thursday, but 12U Wildcats defeated Franco’s Metro Pizza 2-1. Maliya A started the game for 12U Wildcats and recorded 17 outs.

Maliya struck out 13 batters on the day. The starter also allowed one hit and one run over five and two-thirds innings while walking two.

12U Wildcats were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on a dropped third strike.

Ela I walked, which helped Franco’s Metro Pizza tie the game at one in the top of the second.

A steal of home by Kaitlyn G gave 12U Wildcats the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second.

Scarlett L stepped in the circle first for Franco’s Metro Pizza. The hurler allowed one hit and two runs over five innings, striking out 11 and walking four.

Maliya led 12U Wildcats with one run batted in. Juliana M went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead 12U Wildcats in hits. Camila M stole four bases. 12U Wildcats stole seven bases in the game. 12U Wildcats were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Scarlett Y made the most plays with 12.

Lidia B led Franco’s Metro Pizza with one hit in two at bats. Scarlett stole two bases. Franco’s Metro Pizza were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lidia made the most plays with eight.
