🏠 Studio Update

We're excited to share that our new home has officially received occupancy approval from the Town of Locust and Stanly County! ✅✅

This is a major milestone and brings us one step closer to opening the doors of Legacy Dance Company's new home at 1050 W Main Street in Locust.

While a few final inspection items still need to be completed before we receive the keys, progress continues to be made every day. Once we have access to the building, work will move quickly as we prepare the space for our dancers and families.

Thank you for your patience, encouragement, and support throughout this journey. We know everyone is excited to get started, and trust us, no one is more eager than we are!

This is one of the most common questions we receive, and the answer is different for every dancer!

⭐ New to Dance? Starting with 1 class per week is a great way to build confidence, develop new skills, and discover a love for dance.

⭐⭐ Want to Try Multiple Styles? Many dancers enjoy taking 2 classes per week to experience different styles while continuing to build their technique.

⭐⭐⭐ Ready for More? Dancers interested in Pre-Company or Competition have additional training opportunities available as they grow and progress in their dance journey.

The most important thing to remember:

❤️ There is no right or wrong number of classes.

What classes are required for Pre-Company & Competition Dancers?

As dancers continue to grow, many families ask what the next step looks like beyond recreational classes.

✨ Pre-Company Program
2 Hours Per Week

• Pre-Company Choreography
• Acro 1-2 (Beginning/Intermediate)

Designed for dancers who are ready to build additional strength, confidence, performance skills, and commitment while preparing for future opportunities.

✨ Competition Program
Minimum 4 Hours Per Week

• Choreography
• Company Class
• Acro
• Ballet

The Competition Program provides additional training, performance opportunities, and technical development for dancers who are ready for a greater commitment to their dance education.

❤️ Every great journey starts with a first step.

Many competition dancers started in our Pre-Company Program.
