🗣️ Living involves risk - just as oxygen is necessary to live, risk is what takes us to new places. Without it, we stop growing and die on the inside.

We were created for adventure, movement, connection. 🫂 Life is more than survival - its meaning comes from experiences, discovery, and purpose.💫

Avoiding risk shields you from the better that's been established for you. You will lose MORE by risking nothing.

Break the barrier to taking a risk by learning how to navigate it through applying wisdom, truth, and seeking wise counsel. Take time to make a decision and know that sometimes you win and sometimes you learn - it ALL works for you. 🎁

💎 What's one risk you took and are glad you did? I would love to hear your thoughts below!

How do you know if you have a growth mindset? 🤔 A great way to find out is by looking at how you think and what you believe about risk.

Risk: is it your friend or enemy?

When you think of risk, do you feel a knot in your stomach? Fear? Resistance? 😨 OR
Do you feel excitement? Anticipation? 💃

Growth mindset sees the value of risk, that it's a part of life and an opportunity for something good to happen.💗 A fixed mindset sees risk as a threat, that it's bad, and should be avoided. 🙅‍♀️

Risk leads to opportunity and avoiding it limits good things from coming your way. ❌

Sometimes, we don't know how to handle risk or how to move forward if the risk taken doesn't work out. No one knows what risks may be ahead, so what if it did work out? 🌟

What have you missed out on by not taking a risk?

What are you waiting for? ⏱️

Comfort zone mindset wants perfect conditions BEFORE taking the next step, especially if were negative experiences in the past.

If we wait for the perfect person, we will never marry. If we wait for the perfect career, we will never leave our occupation. If we wait for the perfect time and place to take care of ourselves, we will never grow. 💔

It's been said that "We don't fear new opportunities, new love, or new vulnerability. We fear old pain". 😮‍💨

Don't wait for conditions that may never exist. The only one holding you back is you.

How are you moving forward imperfectly? Share your thoughts below.

We may work hard, but what's the intention for doing it?

Financial security? 🏦 Control? 💪 Importance? Ego?

If effort is made to serve self here's the result: "So what do people get in this life for all their hard work and anxiety? Their days of labor are filled with pain and grief; even at night their minds cannot rest. It is all meaningless" (Ecclesiastes 2:22-23).

Deep inside is the desire of fulfillment and this is satisfied by rising above self. Human effort apart from God is futile.

Serving and working hard are ways to express our intentions. Use these tools to create lasting impact by serving God and others with pure intentions, which leads to peace and fulfillment.

If you are what you do as a career, what happens when the status of your occupation changes? You get fired, laid off, the company you work for goes out of business, you were replaced by someone who will be paid less - does that mean you as a person are what happened?

If your worth or value is based on what you do, you may find yourself in an identity crisis. 😳 There's a belief that "you are what you do" and if you believe this, then that means your identity is determined by your actions.

Here's the thing: If this belief is true, then that means all of the failures and mistakes made along the way determine who we are. So then that would look something like this - a child who is learning to walk and falls must not be destined to walk on their own. But is that really the case? Not at all - falling is a part of learning, just like failure is an event and not a person.

You are MORE than your mistakes, failures, and choices. What you do is influenced by who you are.

If your job didn't exist, who are you? Share in the comments below who you are (your occupation isn't who you are 😉 ).

If failure didn't exist, what risks would you take? 🤔

Here's a thought to ponder: Fear kills dreams faster than any risk could. Holding yourself back from living is survival and prevents your potential from seeing the light of day.

It's been said that most people die at 30 and are buried at 80.

Ask yourself: what risks would I take if failure didn't exist? What would life would look like for me?

No judgment, no criticism, just allow your thoughts to flow.

It's time to be who you were created to be.

💥 Let me know in the comments what risks you would take. ⬇️

Nobody's fault but mine - it's easy to blame others for where we are in life and be mad at someone else.

For some of us, we blame our parents for the way we were raised, opportunities we missed out on, or traits we inherited from them. Or, maybe it's your ex's fault for how you were treated and staying in that toxic relationship altered the way you think.

Truth is, the only one keeping you stuck is YOU.

You are in control over your choices, attitude, what you tolerate, and the company you keep. The pain, trauma, and wounds may not be your fault. The healing is your responsibility.

If you are ready to shift your energy from hurting you to helping you, it's time to take responsibility for you.

Have you ever felt guilty for taking time for you?

Maybe you are in a busy season of your life and the thought of taking time to go to the gym, quiet time, or reading a book seems selfish since there are so many demands.

Here's the thing....when we have taken the time to meet our needs and fill our cup first, we have the capacity to show up as the best version of ourselves with our loved ones, colleagues, and those we serve.

Filling up your cup first is actually a SELFLESS thing to do. 💗

Giving out of your overflow instead of your reserves prevents burnout and ensures that you are loving others as well as yourself (Mark 12:30-31). You are just as important as anyone else and deserve to be well taken care of. 🎁

When you hear the term "generational wealth", what comes to mind first?

For many of us, we think of money when we hear the words generational wealth. Sure, we can pass on money, but what other ways could our family be enriched?

What we pass on to our family is not only money - we also pass on our beliefs, values, habits, and views. 😮‍💨

How will it benefit someone to receive a sum of money without the mindset to grow or the character to manage it? 😱

To truly impact future generations and build a legacy that will last, invest in yourself. It's not only what you leave your family - it's also what you leave within them that matters.
