We had a good customer call and ask how to tie the crown knot that I use on my browband work headstalls. I don’t know what it’s called but this one and the blood knot are the two knots I use daily in the shop and knowing how to tie both are well worth learning. You’ll need a hole punch, needle nose pliers, saddle soap and two lacing strings 1/4”X12”. Just follow the instruction in the video.
As you can tell from the video, I have tremors. Not all the time but fine motor work is getting more difficult. Tooling is especially hard some days. It was pretty well under control until a year ago at this time and has accelerated since. I’ve had MRI’s of my head, neck and back, electro nerve stimulation ( that was painful!), acupuncture, a DatScan for Parkinson’s and 10 weeks of PT. Diagnosis is that I have “Parkinsonism” or pre-Parkinson’s . A friend asked if I was ready to retire but stopping isn’t an option. Staying busy and active is the only sensible course and is the plan. I’ll be making gear for as long as I can albeit just a bit slower. I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for sticking around. We appreciate it. Dean
