The Beast of Burden 100 & 50 Miler Ultra Marathon The Winter & Summer Beast of Burden Ultra Marathon These two amazing events take place along the historic Erie Canal Towpath in Lockport, New.

The course is a very easy to follow 12.5 out and back loop. 100 mile participants will run 4 loops and have 30 hours to do so. 50 mile participants will run 2 loops and will have more than enough time to do so since we give them 24 hours to complete this. This eliminates any pressure for runners that are new to the sport and worried about cut-off times. We take great pride in our aid stations an

d some say they are the best in the sport. We don't consider our event a race. For most it's more like a family reunion. Most runners find themselves returning again and again because they had so much fun and that's what it's all about! Please visit our website for more information.
