Another preseason win for the Lock Monsters! Lockport defeated the East Aurora Beast 5–2 at Cornerstone Arena, improving to 2-0-0.

Jack Sheehan powered the attack with two goals, while Elliott Granville and Ben Ewart each recorded a goal and an assist. Ryan Hillery also scored, with Caden Mooradian, Mark Corrao, Jonathan Clark, Anson Czosek and Callen Young adding helpers.

Nathaniel Hillery turned aside 24 of 26 shots for a .923 save percentage as the Lock Monsters followed a three-goal first period with one goal in each of the final two frames.

The Lockport Lock Monsters opened their exhibition slate with a 5-4 win over the Clarence Mustangs, powered by a three-goal performance from #41 Jack Sheehan and 29 saves from #33 Nathaniel Hillery.

Clarence scored the first goal of the game, but Lockport answered with three straight in the opening period. Sheehan started the Lock Monsters scoring with an assist from #8 Anson Czosek. #88 Mason Dziura followed, assisted by #47 Blake Plewinski and #91 Alex Jordan, before #11 Mark Corrao scored from Czosek to give Lockport a 3-1 lead after one.

The Mustangs struck three times in the second period, while Sheehan supplied Lockport’s lone goal of the frame. Corrao and #29 Caden Mooradian earned the assists, and the teams entered the third tied 4-4.

Sheehan delivered again in the third with only 15 seconds on the clock, completing the hat trick on a goal assisted by #23 Ryan Hillery. It was the only goal of the final period and ultimately the difference in the 5-4 victory.

Sheehan finished with the hat trick and three points. Corrao recorded a goal and an assist, while Czosek collected two assists. In net, Nathaniel Hillery stopped 29 of 33 shots for an .879 save percentage.

The Lock Monsters take on East Aurora next Friday in another scrimmage.
