This Independence Day marks a historic milestone—250 years since a group of ordinary men chose an extraordinary path, fighting for the freedom, unity, and opportunity that continue to define our nation.

The Chicago Union Soldier stands as a tribute to those who answered the call in America’s earliest days. He represents courage in the face of adversity, sacrifice for something greater than oneself, and the unbreakable spirit that built this country. Those same values are at the heart of our organization and the standard we strive to uphold every day.

At the Chicago Union, we believe being part of something bigger than yourself means showing discipline, resilience, accountability, and pride—on the ice, in the locker room, and in life. Just as our nation’s founders fought to build a lasting legacy, we challenge our players to build one of their own through hard work, character, and commitment.

The Chicago Union are proud to announce the signing of Connor Anderson for the upcoming season.

A dynamic two-way center from Red Wing, Minnesota, Connor brings speed, compete, and high-end playmaking ability to the Union lineup. Coming off a strong season with the Nashville Jr. Predators 18U AAA, Connor recorded 45 points (16G, 29A) in 50 games, proving he can create offense while playing a complete 200-foot game.

Standing 5’10”, shooting right, and known for his hockey IQ and relentless motor, Connor fits exactly what the Chicago Union are built on—players who compete every shift and earn everything they get.

We’re excited to welcome Connor and his family to Chicago and can’t wait to see him continue his development in Union colors.

The Chicago Union are proud to announce the tender of Sonmin Tsoy for the 2026–27 NCDC season!

Hailing from Almaty, Kazakhstan, Sonmin brings a combination of skill, compete level, and offensive upside to the Union lineup. Standing at 6’1”, 190 lbs, this left-shot forward plays with purpose and intensity every shift.

Coming off a strong season with Atlantic Coast Academy 18U AAA Prep, Sonmin posted an impressive 65 points (30G, 35A) in 53 games, proving his ability to make an impact offensively while staying committed to a team-first game.

Sonmin is a hard-working, competitive forward who fits exactly what the Union culture is all about — grit, discipline, and relentless pursuit of development.

We’re excited to welcome Sonmin to Chicago and can’t wait to see him go to work.
