Ric did the tattoo on the left (the fedora-wearing smoking skull on his right arm), from some Tattoo Brand flash off the wall of his shop, "Ric's Tattoo Studio" (the first licensed tattoo shop in Clinton County) in Lock Haven, back in 1996.
I got the privilege to do the tattoo on the right (the perched eagle on his left arm), from some Tattoo Brand flash out of a flash portfolio in the front room of my shop, "Silver Shamrock Tattoo Company" (the shop with a direct lineage to "Ric's Tattoo Studio", making us the longest consistently running shop in Clinton County) in Lock Haven, this past week, in 2026.
Tattooing is a strange animal, and it's a strange animal that no one tattooer or group of tattooers can claim ownership of. No one can (or should) own it. That's the beauty of the craft and the business. Best case scenario? You can rent it for a little while and enjoy it while it lasts haha!"
