8th J knives I make custom handcrafted blades in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I specialize in drop point hunting knives and skinners both mono steel and Damascus steel.

I will forget blades and I also use the stock removal process to make others.

One of the coolest things I have gotten to do is build a lot of the equipment that I use to make blades. I built this coal forge from an old semi-truck brake drum and a steel car rim. I made many blades with this and it served me well for many years till I bought a propane forge. This is from the early days so dont judge me to hard I have made many improvements since then. But this throwback is still fun to watch.

In a major First Amendment and investigative-reporting win, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit has overturned a jury verdict and damages award against James O’Keefe and undercover journalist Allison Maass stemming from a Project Veritas investigation into Democracy Partners.

The panel ruled 2-1 that the First Amendment protects publishing undercover footage and that the damages improperly punished protected journalistic activity.

You can now get whatever you want Laser engraved onto the hand made leather sheaths from 8th J knives.

This is one of four blades being made using elk antler for the handle. It's a slow process and these take me time but they are beautiful knives when they are completed
