110,500 square foot facility can host soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, softball and baseball games, in addition to other activities and events. The large Welcome Center offers wireless internet, healthy concessions from the Ocelot Café, Men and Women’s restrooms, and vending machines for its guests. The facility operates with full heat and air conditioning year-round, with a 3-laye
r insulation and translucent sky lights. The nationally known Schoolcraft College Culinary Arts Department offers visitors to the St. Joe’s Sports Dome a variety of healthy and nutritious, meals, snacks, and drinks. The outdoor field is a FIFA regulation 11v11 field (75 yards x 120 yards) that is lined exclusively for 11v11 with alternating 10 yard turf color blend. Joe’s Mercy Elite Sports Center is currently being constructed with plans to open in 2020. This will be the newest home to the partnership between St. Joe’s Health, Mercy Elite Sports Performance and Schoolcraft College. This facility will be home for training conducted by the Michigan Wolves-Hawks Soccer Club and the western suburban home for the Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy. The sports center would also house sports performance, rehabilitation and physical therapy services from Saint Joseph Mercy's MercyElite Sports Performance. It is also planned to house Schoolcraft's Fitness Laboratory, a training ground with classrooms and faculty offices for the school's associate degree program in fitness leadership.
