✅ Monday: Yoko Dori deep dive in Shodan—refining angles, grip, and ex*****on.
✅ Friday: Niho Nage across Shodan & Nidan! Covered both suware & tachi versions for maximum control.
✅ Saturday: We welcomed Justin Bailey back after a long recovery from a rugby injury! We celebrated by reviewing Yondan waza and sharing the joys of shibori in henka!

🔥 From Snowy Dedication to Ground Transitions 🔥

Another exciting week of training at Koyama Dojo! Here’s what we worked on:

✅ Monday: Advanced Dan class refined Yoko Dori across all dan ranks and even touched on some Shihan-gi!
✅ Friday: We welcomed new student Don Manfredi! 🙌 With a background in Aikido and a brown belt in 10th Planet Jujutsu, Don was excited to take our Shodan wrist locks back to his ground game!
✅ Saturday: Two students braved the snow and got rewarded with personalized instruction – including a special technique showcase! ❄️🥋

We’re pumped to have Don join the dojo, and we can’t wait to see how he integrates Hakko Denshin Ryu into his grappling!

A Great Day at Koyama Dojo!

Yesterday’s class was filled with energy, focus, and growth! 🙌 We were thrilled to welcome new students to the mat and see returning students working hard on their respective dan levels and even some Okuden techniques.

The highlight? Watching everyone showcase their creativity by demoing a henka at the end of class! It’s always inspiring to see how each student applies the principles in unique and effective ways. 🥋💪

The mat is filling up again, and we’re so grateful to share this journey with each of you. Let’s keep building on this momentum! 🌟
