Want to know a little secret to why so many of my most successful clients constantly are shocked by their results? ⁣

They're constantly telling me they're surprised because they don't really feel like they're doing anything drastic...⁣

Want to know the secret? ⁣

If we're not doing this it's probably the reason why...⁣

You're still not down that 30lbs you've been working for in the last year.⁣

You probably are yo-yoing your fitness every few months. Gaining and losing the same 10-20lbs?⁣

You ready for it?⁣

We get a little obsessive. 😈⁣

But not necessarily about the end goal. That’s issue for some people when getting a little obsessive over their fitness. ⁣

And you might be thinking, haven’t I talked all the time in the past about goal setting? ⁣

Yeah of course. It’s so important to goal set. You need direction. ⁣

But what we obsess about, is getting really good, even great at your daily habits & what I tell my clients to focus on - your “Things to Do” checklist. ⁣

So here’s the issue with focusing only on your end goal - 2 things...⁣

You either end up getting discouraged because you’re not there in 2 weeks and you say F*** it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ or you get there and now what’s keeping you going? ⁣

Seriously though, it’s okay if you haven’t hit your goal in 10 days. ⁣

When we’re focusing on your habits, obsessing over the processes & journey instead of the goal...⁣

Those habits start becoming second nature. And that’s where the beauty happens & we create a lifestyle. ⁣

I’m not interested in just helping people drop 20, 30, 40, or even 100lbs (which we absolutely have at TSD) & watch them put it all back on. ⁣

I want to help someone create a lifestyle and keep that ish off. ⁣

Early on in my career, I wanted to help anyone and everyone with their health & fitness goal. I wanted to be that go to coach who can help anyone with whatever they were looking to accomplish and I was a one stop shop. ⁣

But here’s the thing, I found then - I wasn’t truly helping anyone. Because I trying to do way too many things all at once & becoming incredibly decent in a lot of different things. But I wasn’t “great” at one. ⁣

I definitely do NOT want to be a jack of all trade’s…⁣

I know there are people who are significantly better than I am in certain areas of in the industry. And that's okay with me.⁣

But I know I’m fu***ng good at what I do. ⁣

So moral of my story: ⁣

If you wanna be great at something, ⁣

Stay in your lane. ⁣

If not, you’ll find yourself very average at a lot of different things. ⁣

Fitness is NOT that complicated ⁣

I would argue to say, what I do is not rock science. ⁣

The challenge behind the process...⁣

Is sticking to it…⁣

Early on in my career I was an eager & excited young trainer, studying Exercise Physiology & had all of this information in my head. ⁣

I wanted to create find the next ground breaking strategy in fitness that was going to completely shake up the industry. ⁣

So I found myself spending so much time crafting these complicated and highly intricate programs for clients which sounded great, looked awesome on paper, but was NOT getting that many client results. ⁣

Why?⁣

It was just that. It was too complicated & too intricate. A VERY small percentage of them were actually sticking to it. ⁣

Want to know the biggest difference between now & then?⁣

I found - less is more. ⁣

I’ll be very honest with you when I tell you, ⁣

Even though SO many of our clients right now in TSD are so successful at reaching their fitness goals,⁣

They are NOT doing anything overly complicated. ⁣

The simple truth we just do a REALLY good job at helping someone trust the process, adhere to the program, & get really good at staying consistent. ⁣

Happy TSD Tuesday 🔥⁣

I really think losing over 100lbs in incredibly impressive, ⁣

But I’m not going to lie, I would argue to say keeping that 100lbs off is just as much, if not more of an accomplishment. ⁣

This time last year I interview on her incredible 100lbs weight loss journey. ⁣

And by popular demand, I’ll be bringing her back to interview her on how she has been doing over the last year and how she has been keeping the weight off. ⁣

While her goals over the last year have shifted from strictly weight loss to more overall strength and fitness development, she continues to work hard day in and day out 😎⁣

What’s your Love Language? ⁣

Ours is food. ⁣

When we first started dating, I put on almost 20lbs of “happy weight” in 3 months….damn happy weight.⁣

Over the last 2+ years I’ve been going up and down in terms of gaining and losing weight, ⁣

Although I’ve consistently stayed active, ⁣

If you know our relationship…⁣

We LOVE to eat. ⁣

These last few months prepping for our recent vacation, we made a commitment TOGETHER to focus on our nutrition and our fitness. ⁣

Going to the gym together, meal prepping together, looking up healthier & more calorie friendly options to food we love together. ⁣

And I have to say, it was mentally the easiest cut I’ve gone through. ⁣

Simply because I had in my corner doing it along with me. ⁣

Something I’ve found that has made so many TSD client’s so successful stems from a similar concept. ⁣

It’s the fact that they are immersed into a community of likeminded individuals in their corner working and succeeding towards their goals as well. ⁣

It’s hard enough going on a fitness journey in general. ⁣

Going at it alone or in an environment that doesn’t work towards the same thing makes it that much harder. ⁣

So the question has to be, why add the additional resistance and do that to yourself? ⁣
