I would like to announce my upcoming retirement as the lake manager of Lake LU effective September 1, 2022!!!

I will retire with 31 years of service to the State of Alabama. Twenty five years of that as the lake manager for the University of West Alabama. Don’t tell anyone, but I really did the job for all the fish and fishermen. I certainly didn’t do it for the money or for political prestige! I have always felt that I needed to be “God’s Good Steward” in regards to my job as lake manager. I hope I have helped my share of little old ladies, fathers and sons, and nature lovers everywhere have better memories of Lake LU and the “quiet and peaceful woodlands of Livingston”.

I hope to see you all on the lake one day! This is the only gift I want.

Peace and love,

Robby Limerick, Lake Manager, Lake LU
