This summer I acquired a couple of interesting vintage pieces. This Williams Mills & Sons aka Leonard (9 feet 5wt more or less) is the fanciest vintage cane rod I’ve ever cast. I soon get out and get some bends on it 😉

I have just finished an Irish themed fly plate that is going to travel with me to the Irish Fly Fair this coming November. I quite enjoyed to dress a variety of flies.

Summer carping 😬. My first fly-fishing target was carp. I still remember a dramatic phrase on a fly-fishing for carp VHS 📼🤣 “fights like Bolivian dorado, runs like Pacific steelhead”. What a day 🤩

I unleashed my CC (Hardy CC de France 8ft 1930s) paired with St George 3” (also 1930s) on the Gallatin River in Yellowstone National Park. I only wanted to cast a grasshopper fly. Every trout that comes up to dry flies are special, more so when fishing with the CC 😉.

Hardy Palakona Gold Medal fully bending, Perfect reel screaming a tune 🎶, dry fly, rising cutthroat. A day in Yellowstone National Park couldn’t be better than this….

Celebrating the belated 4th of July with smoked brisket. Checking the doneness and tenderness with the flag 🇺🇸.

I just realized that the first time I fished the Madison River in Yellowstone National Park was back in 2007. So this year makes the 2️⃣0️⃣th 🎊 since.
As if to celebrate 🎉 my milestone I netted what seemed to be a pure Westslope cutthroat trout for the first time from this stream.
Many other waters and trout have been recorded in my journals but there are still more to go and new discoveries to be made in the greater YNP 😉.
