"The Unsung Heros Of Softball.
Very rarely do they get a hello. Very rarely do they get a smile. These men and women of blue. They stand in the cold. The heat. The rain. They wait around for hours in delays and sometimes do 5-6-7 games in a row. Often not complaining at all.
Even the best paid ones dont make much. They dont do it for the money. They do it to stay connected to the game. Their youth and to have interaction with the sport most of them have been involved in for longer then we have been alive.
They take the beating the verbal assaults the name calling from the stands. From the coaches. They still keep on moving.
Every event you will see them. Ready. Willing to do a job most of us would never actually do ourselves.
Being a director you see the other side of good ol blue. The are amazing people. Fathers. Mothers. Grand fathers. Grand mothers. You hear their stories. You learn from them.
So here is to the unsung heros. The guys and gals we call Blue.
Not a single event could take place without you.
I appreciate you everyday and am happy you all are in the game.
Thank you Blue. Thank all of you!!
Signed
Every softball coach. Parent and fan!"
