Sending out a big THANK YOU to July Hardesty at Edward Jones for his generous sponsorship of the 2026 GIVE A HOOT Matching Pool.

Raised in Livingston and a Park High graduate, July is Livingston's only accredited wealth management advisor (AWMA), helping families and business owners grow and protect their wealth. Next time you’re downtown take a second to stop by his office at 115 W Callender to thank him for supporting Park County nonprofits!

GIVE A HOOT, County Community Foundation's month-long giving challenge in July 🎆, celebrates the spirit of generosity in Park County. The Matching Pool inspires the whole community to support their favorite local nonprofits who qualify for partial matching funds. Learn more at https://www.give-a-hoot.org.

💙 June is Men’s Mental Health Month 💙

In rural Montana, strength is often measured by hard work, resilience, and the ability to weather life’s challenges. But true strength also means finding your voice, building meaningful connections, and knowing when to ask for support.

At Rural Resilience, we believe every boy deserves the opportunity to grow into a healthy, confident man—supported not only in body, but in mind and spirit. Through connection, mentorship, mental health support, and community, we can help ensure that our young men know they are seen, valued, and never alone.

This month, we celebrate the boys and men in our communities and recognize the importance of creating spaces where they can talk openly, build healthy relationships, and develop the skills they need to thrive.

May we continue to provide the support, connection, and opportunities that our youth and young men need to succeed. Together, we are helping raise the next generation of Montanans—healthy in body, strong in mind, and connected to their communities.

We also know that this work is strongest when communities come together. If your organization, business, program, or expertise helps bring boys, young men, and men together in healthy and meaningful ways, we would love to connect. Whether through mentorship, outdoor recreation, skilled trades, agriculture, wellness, education, or community engagement, there are opportunities to make a lasting impact.

Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss partnership and collaboration opportunities that support the well-being and resilience of youth and families across rural Montana.

Because resilience isn’t built alone.

A Stanley Cup champion. A hockey legend. A father. A teammate. A friend.

Last week, the hockey community lost Claude Lemieux to su***de at the age of 60.

It’s a painful reminder that mental health challenges can touch anyone. Success doesn’t make someone immune. Achievement doesn’t eliminate struggle. And often, the battles people face are invisible to those around them. As fans gather to celebrate the Stanley Cup Playoffs, we’re also reminded of something bigger than hockey: struggle isn’t always visible.

Check in on your people. Reach out when you’re struggling. Ask the hard questions. Have the conversation.

You never know who might need it.

In 2024, su***de-related deaths were four times higher among males than females.

This , let’s remember that seeking help is a sign of strength. By supporting one another, fighting su***de, and challenging stigma, we can build a future where no one suffers alone.

Loss is shocking and you have the right to experience your own unique grief.

Living with grief can be distressing and leave you feeling depleted. A support group can help you to transition through your grief in a safe and supportive environment where you can talk about that grief and experience all kinds of emotions in the process.
