Livingston Manor Fly Fishing Club

Livingston Manor Fly Fishing Club Not just a Fly Fishing Club,

Fly fishing is merely the best way we found to get closer to nature, if you have a better way, here is the place to do it.

For decades fly fishing has been an excuse for adventurous men and women to escape into nature, and find peace and connection at a slower pace. To master it requires one to develop a deep understanding and appreciation of the natural environment, the seasons, the river, and all it’s inhabitants. Livingston Manor Fly Fishing club lies on the banks of the Willowemoc, the birthplace of fly fishing in

America, and is built on this very idea. But rather than limit ourselves to the sport of fly fishing, we aim to introduce our guests and members to a slower pace of life, where you become more connected to your natural environment and more connected to one another. Regardless of whether or not you fish. The club is housed in two lovingly restored buildings in the heart of the quaint town of Livingston Manor, and extends to five acres of riverfront estate. The property has been designed to melt the comforts of home with the beauty of nature and encourage those that stay there to explore, get inspired, make, relax, and connect with one another and their environment. Memberships opening spring 2018. Available for private rentals, photo and film shoots, and branded events from 2017.

*BIG NEWS* Six years have passed since the foundation of LMFFC. Back then, we were simply following our passions and creating spaces and experiences we wanted to share with friends new and old. A lot of water, high and low have passed under the bridges of the Willowemoc in that time, and what the club has surpassed our wildest dreams.

Thinking back on these original ideals; on the early builders weekends, dinners on the banks of the river, the fish that were caught, the fish that got away, the trout parades, the campfires, the foraging adventures, and countless other special memories we feel truly grateful. This gratitude goes out to the community that helped build an incredible place together and made what it is today, hammer, rod or beer in hand.

With Mikael moving back to Sweden and Tom and Anna focused on , we have decided to pass the torch to someone new to continue the legacy on the river for years to come.

Lots to be grateful for from 2019 - our first is the wild Catskills. A harsh and rugged landscape that has been wild, and mostly unsettled for centuries. It’s a privilege to live next door to it, and be able to introduce new people to its beauty. Here’s to the wild Catskills and all the fly fishers, conservationists, and passionate individuals that work so hard to keep it that way 🍾✨🌲

Join us by the fireplace for some "hygge, mys & koselig" moments.

By all logic, most Norwegians should be depressed by their long, dark, isolating winters. Except that many have found a cozy, social, nature-infused antidote.
