A weekend at Onondaga Lake — September 11, 12 & 13, 2026

Join the American Indian Law Alliance for three days honoring the Creator's Game, our sacred lake, and the people who carry this work forward.

Thursday, Sept 11 — Alfie Jacques Ambassador Award Dinner
A ticketed evening honoring Alfie Jacques' extraordinary legacy as a wooden stick maker, teacher, and ambassador of Deyhontsigwa'ehs. Tickets available online.

Friday, Sept 12 — Restore Our Sacred Lake 5K
Onondaga Lake Wegman's Park. Registration 7am, race 8am. Free early registration. The eagle has returned to Onondaga Lake for the first time in over 200 years — come run, walk, and stand for the ongoing cleanup.

Sept 12 & 13 — 11th Annual Haudenosaunee Wooden Stick Festival
10am–5pm at Onondaga Lake Park, 106 Lake Dr, Liverpool, NY.

Deyhontsigwa'ehs — "They Bump Hips," the Creator's Game — was played on these shores over 1,000 years ago and helped establish the Great Law of Peace. This weekend brings it home.
