Free physical for this year's sports!

Palms Medical Group will be providing FREE sports physicals at the Suwannee High School Gym from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Please contact the SHS Athletic Director for the necessary forms and more information. All forms must be completed and signed by the student's parent/guardian before the physical.

PLEASE NOTE: Sports physicals DO NOT include the new FHSAA EKG requirement for incoming freshmen or new sophomore, junior, or senior athletes. For performance and interpretation of EKGs, you can visit www.whoweplayfor.org.

(Contact the front office for a form if you need one before school is out)

If you make the team, a $150 Athletic Team fee is due July 30th. (This helps pay for officials, tournaments and transportation)

Day 5 of our Volleyball Skills Intensive 🏐
Today the girls focused on passing control and serving mechanics, and the improvement has been awesome to watch.

We worked on:
✔ platform control
✔ tracking the ball
✔ consistent serving
✔ communication on the court

Several players served the ball over the net for the first time this week, and our passing accuracy is improving every day.

One thing we emphasize in this camp is that mistakes are part of learning. The girls are working hard, supporting each other, and celebrating progress along the way.

We’re excited to see how much they grow by the end of the week!

🏐 Day 3 of our Volleyball Skills Intensive!

Today the athletes continued working on passing fundamentals, footwork, and court movement. Players focused on building strong platforms, moving their feet to the ball, and improving ball control through repetition and teamwork.

The group also worked on defensive positioning and athletic movement drills to help develop quicker reactions and stronger court awareness.
It has been exciting to see the progress already happening this week as players gain confidence, support their teammates, and continue improving their volleyball fundamentals.
We’re looking forward to another great training session tomorrow!
