Hello everyone,

hope you are all well and staying safe and healthy.

I am sad to have to announce some changes to the Rink Muse Lunch League program. Starting tomorrow at 5 pm, games and indoor sports leagues are prohibited in Jefferson County. Therefore, we can no longer play lunch league hockey games.

However, it is my understanding that for now, I am allowed to have 25 people total on the ice during my scheduled league time. Therefore, you are all welcome (including goalies) to show up at the Edge during your regularly scheduled game slot and use the 75 minutes to exercise, practice your hockey skills, work on your skating, or whatever it is you wish to do during this time. I don't know if the locker rooms will be open or not, or if the benches will be taped off. I do not recommend that you guys congregate on the benches if they are open, however, and I request you space out and keep your distance from other participants as much as possible. I will also have Jon Rausch (the ref) available to give informal lessons or instruction /coaching for anyone who wishes to avail themselves of his expertise during these sessions. (with the exception of Tuesday Advanced. If there is anyone in Tuesday Advanced who wants lessons from Jon, please contact me)

You do not have to wear a specific colored jersey, or as far as I am concerned, full hockey gear. Obviously gloves and helmet are mandatory. If you have loaner jerseys from this season or this past spring, please bring and return them to me as soon as possible. I do not anticipate that games will resume before January.

There will be no charge to attend these skates or to get coaching from Jon as it is covered by your fall registration fees. However, if you have questions, feel free to email or text me.

Hello Rink Muse customers!

Hope you've been well and healthy and somewhat sane during this trying time. Presently, fall season is scheduled to start the week of September 15. Registration will open on Sep 1, and close on Sep 7. This is a very short window so make sure you mark it on your calendar. Obviously, I cannot guarantee your health or safety in the middle of a pandemic so please consider your health and risk factors as well of those people you are in contact with before you register. I have scaled back the number of teams per league but will expand the number of teams per league should there be enough demand.

CREDITS for unused Spring season

I will be offering Credits to full time customers this past spring who paid in full based on the unplayed portion of the spring season. I AM NOT GIVING ANY REFUNDS. The credits will be based on the the prorated fee for the scheduled games not played after March 15, 2020, minus unrecoupable administrative and overhead expenses such as website operation etc. The amount of the credit depends on when the specific league was scheduled to end- in most cases and since many of you played in multiple leagues, you will be eligible for multiple credits.

Credit amounts by league:

Tuesday advanced Coed $85

050/40 $85 / $170 depending on number of days per week played

Tuesday skills camp $50

Wed LLL $120

Ladies Friday skills and scrimmage $95

All coed Friday lunch leagues $135

A scholarship fund has been set up for those of you who wish to donate a portion or all of your credits. Your donated credits will be used help pay the registration fees for people who were financially impacted by the pandemic. Please let me know if you would like to donate or if you need financial assistance.

Hopefully this will help offset what could be a recession driven drop in registration numbers so we can continue to have a robust, full hockey league going forward. More importantly, this will enable returning customers who may have been laid off or hurt financially to continue to enjoy our amazing but unfortunately expensive sport at a time when they most need hockey in their lives.
