“You’ll never feel ready to change your life. One day, you just get tired of your own excuses and force yourself to do it... You’re never going to feel like having that hard conversation. One day you just get sick of avoiding it, and you force yourself to have it.”

I recently came across this passage in Let Them by Mel Robbins, and it stopped me in my tracks.

How often do we stall because we’re waiting for the "perfect" moment? We tell ourselves we need to lose weight before we hire a trainer, or that we’ll look for a better job once things "quiet down" at the office. We stay in the "comfort zone"—not because it’s actually comfortable, but because it’s familiar.

The truth is: Readiness is a myth. Waiting for all the pieces to fall into place is just a polite way of staying stuck. Whether it’s your health, your career, or your personal peace, the most important things in life rarely feel convenient. You don't need to feel motivated to start; you just need to be tired of staying the same.

What have you been avoiding lately? Maybe it’s booking that dream vacation, updating your resume, or finally addressing that nagging injury. Whatever "band-aid" you’ve been afraid to rip off, do it today. Action is the only cure for anxiety.
