Tuesday nights storms had some heavy winds which brought some trees and branches down on our trails. If you are out on the trails walking, running or riding, please take a moment to toss sticks and branches off to the side, if you come upon a downed tree across the trail, take a pic and send it to us telling us which trail it’s on and we will get out to clear it. Thanks!

See ya Tuesday?!

See ya Tuesday?!

A large group of us wanted to start planning weekly mountain bike rides so here we are!

Introducing our weekly mountain bike rides:

Meeting every Tuesday at 5:30PM.

We will be rotating between our 3 trail networks (PRKR, Bethlehem and Franconia)

1st ride is THIS TUESDAY MAY 5th at PRKR MTN Trails. Parking at the pump track (top of school st)

*Each ride is open to all skill levels with 2 route options (shorter distance, less technical/longer and more technical) OR be a no drop ride, depending on the trail network!

Each ride will be around an hour long with options to cut short if needed.

With these rides we want to create a fun and inclusive environment to get as many people on our trails as we can. Brand new to riding? Been riding these trails for years but want some friends to ride with? Not sure if you're going to love mountain biking but wanna give it a good try? These rides are for you!

Optional hang time after every ride. *Will be decided at each ride!

Each week we will post the weekly ride details and all rides will be put up on the shop calendar and Tricycle calendar. (https://www.tricyclenh.com/area-bike-events-calendar)

More group rides will be announced as they are planned- but we are thrilled to get these mountain bike rides going!

Spring Update! Generally, we don’t close our trails during the transition from winter to spring. Our trails dry quicker than our neighboring trail systems. That being said, there has been quite a bit of rain recently along with thawing of the ground. The usual wet and muddy sections are pretty saturated, so we emphasize using good judgement. If you are leaving a rut deeper than an inch you probably shouldn’t be on the trails. Don’t go around wet spots, that creates more of a mess.
You may notice our trail counters when entering or exiting our trails, THEY ARE NOT CAMERAS, they are infrared counters that give us an idea of how many trail users we have, so please leave them be 😊
Also, the dog ball library is restocked for your enjoyment, and a fresh stack of maps are in the school st kiosk.
Remember to always Ride/Walk/Recreate with Gratitude. 🙏

Pretty safe to say the fat biking season is coming to an end. We had a pretty big windstorm Sunday night so we have been out clearing blowdowns on PRKR and FANEMBA trails this week. Just a couple of retired guys riding bikes and running chainsaws 😜 Thanks Edwin for your help!

Stop in this evening and meet Heath and Megan Myers , the shop looks great and they are excited to continue its community involvement and be your bike shop

Friends! Heath and I were so excited to participate in the fat bike poker run last week and meet all of you and then we got hit with the flu! We were really bummed to miss out on the event, but our staff did an incredible job holding everything down at the shop.

We heard the event was a huge success and we love seeing all the pictures pop up! Huge thanks to all of the behind the scenes work from everyone involved in North Country Tricycle, all of the grooming that was done and to the community for showing up. We are thrilled to support North Country Tricycle and all 3 of our amazing local trail networks going forward!

Now, we are hosting our first "event" at the shop! Come to our after hours mixer and meet us, see the space and meet other cyclist in the community. We will provide some refreshments and light snacks- but feel free to grab dinner to go from one of our local friends and bring it to the shop.

Bring your ideas for what you would like to see out of your local community bike shop! Certain brands of clothing? Group ride ideas? Events at the shop?

It was very mushy but we got some grooming done today. Get out early and enjoy it!
