Why We Umpire

We umpire because the game deserves fairness, structure, and integrity. Our responsibility is not to choose sides, seek approval, or make calls based on emotion, pressure, or expectation.

We step onto the field with one purpose: to apply the rules consistently and give every player and team an equal opportunity to compete. We have no stake in the outcome of the game beyond doing our job with honesty and professionalism.

Whether it’s a ball or strike, safe or out, our role is to make the best call we can based on what we see. Umpiring is about protecting the game, respecting the competition, and ensuring that every contest is played the way it was meant to be played.
