Those summer seasons are far too short, and come to too abrupt an end to give our players a proper sending off each year. Fortunately we hunted down The Red Watch’s first ever offensive and defensive player of year recipients in the same place this past weekend to give them their deserved awards. 🏆 Special thanks to our own and his skills at the for helping create the first of (hopefully?) many supporter awards to come. 🦌

19 away days for our adult teams this season. Supporters and fans at every one of them, in the stands, at watch parties and streaming from home. Thanks to all who made the journeys, especially to Kansas City with stays and plans cut short due to rescheduling.

Someday, perhaps, an independent supporters group will emerge from Lafayette swamps. In the meantime we’re resigned to once again swatting aside the Krewe’s official account that exists to 1) stalk the socials and 2) make memes.

As always, we strove for the win, and never the draw. A “return with your shield, or upon it” all-out effort mentality in our sport that we don’t shy from. The beauty of a game that rewards such efforts 99 out of a 100 times means there’s still the 1 chance to be laid low.

The expressions of gratitude from all of us will be multitude in coming days. For now, thank you for supporting us, showing up for us, giving and providing for us, and for loving us. You proved we belong, here in our little city, and on the National stage. You made this beautiful 2025 season possible for us all, and guaranteed our return in 2026.
