Today we’re celebrating two very special people who have given decades to our club, the Capital City Classic 10k, and the entire Arkansas running community!

Bill Torrey, our Capital City Classic Race Director for an incredible 34 years, is celebrating his birthday today!

Linda House, our volunteer extraordinaire, is also celebrating her birthday! Linda has volunteered for all 34 of those years and previously served as Race Director herself.

We’re pretty sure both of these legends would agree that getting as many people as possible signed up for the 2027 Capital City Classic would make the perfect birthday present! 😜

Scenes from this morning’s ARK 5K Classic! Our team had a strong showing, including first place overall female, 14-year-old phenom Tessa Corbitt and 2nd overall Hannah Cutshall! Congratulations to everyone who finished, including long-time Roadrunner Linda House, the ONLY person who has completed every ARK 5K since its inception 45 YEARS ago! Finishing was winning today, as it was HOT HOT HOT out there!
