There has been a recent outbreak of scams using our Facebook pictures to list motors on marketplace. The account that has been steeling our pictures and scamming people is named "Midwest Outboard Recyclers Inc". We are not associated with this page at all. All of our current motor listings or any other of our marine-related Facebook listings are being done through Brandon Marcyes on Facebook. This is the only legitimate Boater's Dream Facebook account apart from the account being used to post this announcement.
We will never ask anyone to wire us money through a bank account, Cash App, or Zelle. We only do business with cash, checks, or credit cards in person or over the phone with a real person at our Little Falls location.
This scammer has also managed to change the number on our Google page. Our shop phone number is 320-632-8152 and that is the only number to call and reach our shop. Brandon's direct line is 320-761-9294 and that is the only way to reach him if he is not in the office. The current phone number on our Google page is not legitimate and will not reach the shop or Brandon. There are no phone numbers associated with Boater's Dream that contain a "218" area code. Both of our phone numbers use a "320" area code.
Again, we will never ask for a money transfer or demand any sort of unofficial payment on any of our motors or services. All of our payments are logged and invoiced using our official phone number.
We have gone through the steps of reporting the fraudulent account but have not made any headway, meaning that this account is still using our page to scam people and is still actively posting and stealing pictures and videos from other accounts.
