Community is one of the things we love most about 💙

A few months ago I had the opportunity to teach a workshop for their amazing members, and tomorrow we get to celebrate their 1-year anniversary with them!

If you’re coming to the event, be sure to stop by the Edge Rehab Chiropractic table, enter our giveaway and say hi. We’d love to meet you, answer questions, and celebrate this incredible milestone with the Burn Little Elm family.

See you tomorrow! 🎉

“My glutes don’t fire.”
“My core is weak.”
“My low back is weak.”

Maybe.

But what if nothing is actually “weak” or “not firing”, often the problem isn’t strength, it’s coordination.

If your low back always works harder than your core, your quads always dominate your hamstrings, or you never feel your glutes no matter how many exercises you do
your body may not need more effort. It may need better teamwork.

Strength matters. But muscles don’t work in isolation.

Not sure where the disconnect is? Click the link in our bio to come in for a complimentary discovery visit - the best way to find the problem is to watch how your body moves!

What if the thing supporting you
is also the thing your body stopped learning to do on its own?

Read before you throw away your Hokas. 😉

Supportive shoes can absolutely have a place. But if your feet never have to do any work, they can become dependent on that support.

For most people, being able to comfortably walk around the house barefoot is a sign that the feet, ankles, and lower body are doing their jobs.

If barefoot feels uncomfortable, don’t force it. Start with:

5-10 minutes barefoot at a time
Toe mobility and foot strengthening exercises
Gradually decreasing your reliance on inserts or house shoes (if appropriate)

The goal isn’t to be barefoot 100% of the time. The goal is to build feet that are capable when you are.

How many of you wear shoes inside your house? 👇

Not all “supportive” shoes are supportive in the long run.

A wide toe box? 🙌
But excessive cushion, heel lift, and inserts can sometimes change how your body absorbs force and reduce your connection to the ground.

For some people, that can contribute to foot weakness, hip tightness, and even back pain.

Shoes aren’t bad. But your feet were designed to do a job too.

Do you wear Hokas? Nike? What’s been your experience? Let us know 👇

Being named a DFW Child Mom Approved provider for 2026 is an honor.

But what means the most to me isn’t being on the list itself.

It’s the moms who trust me when:
đŸ©· Their back hurts from carrying kids all day
đŸ©· Their hips ache after pregnancy
đŸ©· Their workouts keep causing pain
đŸ©· They feel like they’ve tried everything and nothing has worked

Thank you to every patient who has trusted me with their care and shared their experience with others.

I’m grateful to serve this community and help people move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what they love.

đŸ©· Thank you for your support.

You’ve probably been told:

❌ Your core is weak.
❌ Your hamstrings are tight.
❌ Your pelvic floor needs Kegels.
❌ You just need to stretch more.

But what if those aren’t actually the problem?

One of the biggest things I teach in our workshops is that the body doesn’t work in isolated parts.

Your pelvic floor doesn’t work alone.
Your core doesn’t work alone.
Your glutes don’t work alone.

They’re part of a team.

So when your hamstrings feel tight, it may not be because they need more stretching.

When your core feels weak, it may not be because you need more ab exercises.

When your pelvic floor isn’t functioning well, it may not be because it needs more Kegels.

Sometimes the real issue is that the system isn’t coordinating the way it’s supposed to.

That’s why so many people tell me:

“I’ve tried stretching.”
“I’ve tried exercises.”
“I’ve tried treatment.”

And yet nothing changed.

Not because they weren’t trying hard enough.

But because no one had identified what was actually driving the problem.

You don’t always need more exercises.

You need the right exercises.

You don’t always need more treatment.

You need treatment that addresses the root cause.

The body is smarter and more connected than most people realize.

That’s where lasting change starts.

What area of your body always feels tight no matter how much you stretch?

So you found some weak links
now what? (If you don’t know what I’m talking about go check out our last reel)

This is where most people go wrong, they jump into random exercises and hope something sticks. Even worse if your provider gave you random exercises without figuring out the root cause first.

But your body doesn’t need more effort.
It needs better direction.

If your foot is collapsing → start with control (short foot, toe work)
If your ankle is stiff → restore motion before loading it
If your hips aren’t doing their job → your foot will keep paying for it.

Because here’s the truth: You can’t out-stretch or out-strengthen a problem you don’t understand.

These are simple starting points to help your body relearn how to load and stabilize from the ground up.

Consistency > complexity
Awareness > intensity

And if you’re tired of guessing
we’ll map it out for you. 💙 this is a starting point, but if you need us we are here!

Some women work out for fitness goals.

Some women work out because it’s the only hour their brain finally gets quiet. It’s mental survival.

Because motherhood is beautiful
but it’s also mentally loud.

The schedules.
The snacks.
The appointments.
The constant responsibility.
The guilt when you try to choose yourself.

Movement becomes more than exercise. Nobody needs you. Your brain slows down. You’re you again.

It becomes:

đŸ©· stress relief
đŸ©· emotional regulation
đŸ©· identity
đŸ©· breathing room
đŸ©· survival

And when pain starts taking that away too
it affects so much more than just your body.

You deserve to move without fear.
You deserve to feel strong again.
You deserve care too.

That’s why helping women move without pain matters so much to us.

Because this was never just about fitness.

Tag a mom who would feel seen by this and save this for the days you forget it. đŸ©·

Taking care of yourself is one of the best ways to be able to take care of them..

Most moms don’t come in to our office because they have extra time, money or energy. In fact, it’s often the opposite. They are feeling frustrated, limited and short on patience because their tightness, pain or dysfunction are starting to consume them mentally and emotionally.

It doesn’t have to be “that bad” to want to live life differently.

It’s not selfish to want to workout without pain. It’s not selfish to want to wake up without back pain or stiffness. It’s not selfish to want to feel better.

Choosing yourself isn’t a luxury. It’s your survival strategy 💙 and we are here to help. Start with a quick call, let us hear your story - what you’ve tried, what helps, what doesn’t - we’d love to help you feel better and honestly, you deserve it!
