Hello, I hope everyone is safe and continues to stay safe during this trying time. This is the Hwa-Rang Warrior Taekwon-Do Studio instructor, Sa Bum Nim Savandara Leang V Dan.
I regret to inform parents and students, but the school will not be reopening. My goal was to reopen back up in March of 2022 but due to difficult times, the school will not be opening.
It has been an honor teaching the students at the school. The students and their parents are all such great people, and I would like to thank every single parent that allowed me to teach their child. Thank you for entrusting me with your child/children’s physical as well as emotional and mental development.
I know I've made the classes very challenging, but my goal and determination was to push the students to discover their potential and life skills and apply the principles they have learned to approach life challenges. I’ve also made it challenging because I believe your skill and rank in Taekwon-Do should be earned, not given. Similar to life, it is much more rewarding to earn your growth, development, and accomplishments.
Thank you. I have learned so much within the last few years. It has truly been a blessing. I started the school because I wanted to teach, and I stayed teaching because I saw the progress the students were making. Students were no longer being bullied, improved their life skills, and connected with fellow students to find a sense of community.
Thank you very much to the students and parents that have supported me and the school since day one and believing in what I was teaching. We had great moments together in class, tournaments, and even traveling to different countries for Taekwon-Do events.
I will embark on my new adventure. I will be an instructor at a school in California called Warrior Code. To my students, you have taught me instrumental lessons that I will carry with me on my teaching journey. I encourage you to continue to challenge yourselves and to practice what you have learned. My door is always open. I am always here to listen so please do not hesitate to reach out.
The last day to train together will be December 17, 2021 at Hwa-Rang Warriors TaeKwon-Do, 4401 G Street, Philadelphia, PA 19120 at my instructor’s school. Classes will begin at 7pm. I look forward to seeing you there.
