Another great morning with the Nokesville Business Association!
A big thank you to our guest speaker, Eric Kline, owner of ASAP EZ Clean, for sharing his knowledge and experience with our members yesterday. Eric gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the many services his team provides, from carpet and air duct cleaning to water damage restoration and mold remediation. It was a great reminder that many businesses solve problems most of us don’t think about until we’re facing them ourselves.
As always, one of the best parts of these meetings is the opportunity to connect with fellow business owners, learn from one another, and strengthen relationships within our local community. Seeing a room full of engaged entrepreneurs, professionals, and community leaders is exactly what makes the NBA so special.
Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday morning, and a special thanks to Vita Nova Creatives for hosting us.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next month!

Today’s Nokesville Business Association Coffee & Collaboration Mastermind was one of those conversations that reminds you why community matters.

A huge thank you to our special guest, Wes Costello, for leading today’s discussion on Cybersecurity and Business Risk — a topic that affects every business owner, no matter the size.

We had honest conversations about:
• protecting customer information
• scams and fraud targeting small businesses
• operational risks and dependencies
• what would happen if systems went down unexpectedly
• the reality that small businesses ARE targets

Some of the best moments came from the room itself — business owners sharing real experiences, concerns, ideas, and practical solutions together. These mastermind conversations are never just “networking.” They are collaborative, educational, and often the exact reminder someone needed.

As we head into our SUMMER BREAK, we just want to thank everyone who has shown up, contributed, supported one another, and helped make these meetings something special.

Coffee & Collaboration will return in September, and we cannot wait to continue the conversations, growth, and connections.

Today’s NBA meeting honestly reminded me why I love being around local business owners so much. 💞

Over the years, owning and growing a cleaning business in Florida has taught me far more than “just cleaning.” It taught me about burnout, leadership, difficult conversations, marketing, social media, problem solving, customer service, hiring, systems… and also the emotional side of entrepreneurship that people don’t talk about enough.

Lately I’ve been shifting the way I introduce myself a little. Less “business coach” and more simply someone who genuinely wants to be a resource for other local business owners here in Virginia. Whether that’s helping with social media ideas, project management, business struggles, or just being a neutral person to bounce ideas off of when family and friends may love us deeply… but don’t always fully understand this journey.

And today’s message from Kathy Goode hit home perfectly — in a world full of AI and automation, never lose the personal touch or forget why you started in the first place.

So grateful for conversations like these and the people in this room today.
