The Litchfield Recreation Commission racked up 27 hours of volunteer work sprucing up Roy Memorial Park. Mulch was spread at the playground. A HUGE โ€œThank you!โ€ to TIMโ€™S TURF for donating and delivering all the mulch! Overhanging limbs and overgrowth around the park were cut and removed. Old soccer nets left by the shed were dismantled and removed as well as all the other โ€œjunkโ€ that has been left there. The beach was cleaned and raked. Thanks to George, Matt and Jayson from Litchfield Conservation Commission for coming over after their highway clean up and helping to install the fishing dock! Three trips were made to the Litchfield Transfer Station! Please help us keep our parks clean! Thank you to all the residents who regularly pick up trash when they are walking through the park. We really appreciate it!

For the houses on the list, the Recreation Commission will hold a random drawing at our meeting on Tuesday night and one lucky address will win a family pack to attend Holly Jolly Journeyโ€™s lights! Thank you to Chase DeNamur and Holly Jolly Journey for donating tickets to their fantastic light display!

The Litchfield Recreation Commission will once again be participating in Southern NH Tour of Lights! If you decorate outside and would like to participate, please use the link to register your address by 9am Wednesday, Dec 3. Itโ€™s quick and easy! IT TAKES LESS THAN A MINUTE!

A map will be made available by Dec 6. Homes must be lit up Dec 6 - Dec 25!

If you have an hour or so on Saturday morning, Recreation and Conservation Commissions could use an hour or 2 of help raking Darrah Pond. Milfoil treatment has been completed! Bring a rake, gloves and a wheelbarrow if you have one! Wear crappy shoes and clothes!
