Steeple Run Stingrays The Steeple Run Stingrays are one of twenty-two teams that participate in the Naperville Swim Confer Makin' a splash!

Think of summer and inevitably it brings forth images of sunny days, hot weather and a clear blue pool beckoning your name. For kids in Steeple Run and the surrounding neighborhoods that clear blue pool means swim team and more specifically, the Steeple Run Stingrays. The Steeple Run Stingrays are one of twenty-two teams that participate in the Naperville Swim Conference throughout June and July.

We swim ten meets plus two championship meets and practice five days a week Monday through Friday. The Stingrays offers swimmers a chance to gain confidence in the water, build lasting friendships, compete on an individual level as well as a team level and, most importantly, have fun all summer long.

Hey Stingrays! We are in search of TWO new team representatives to the Naperville Swim Conference (NSC) for 2026. Our three reps work with reps from teams across Naperville to coordinate the season. If you are interested in getting more involved and helping to make things happen, this is your opportunity!

What does a rep do?
🏊🏾‍♂️ Attends monthly online meetings with reps from each team in the NSC on the 2nd Monday of each month. (SRS’s attendance is required, though only one rep needs to attend each.)
🏊🏻‍♀️ Serves as a liaison between the Stingrays and the NSC regarding all matters - billing, bylaws, data collection, etc. - and serves as part of our team’s board.
🏊 Works with reps from other teams on two committees, to run the season from the conference level. (This requires additional meetings; the time commitment is dependent on which committee we are assigned - and again, commitments can be split between Stingray reps.)
🏊🏽‍♀️ Represents our team at each meet, connecting with opposing teams’ reps and welcoming teams to our pool. One rep is required at each meet we attend.
🏊🏼‍♂️ Assists in decision-making at dual meets per the rules and bylaws when necessary.

Ideally, our new reps would join our team at the next NSC meeting on September 8; that’s when turnover typically takes place, new officers are established, and committee responsibilities are doled out to the teams.

**The team offers a free swimmer to each rep, and reps are exempt from working additional jobs at meets.**
