I’ve been working on something behind the scenes for a LONG time, and I’m finally ready to share it with all of you…
INTRODUCING RIVER CRUNCH! 🍿🌊
Being The Yak Guy has always been about more than just renting kayaks. I wanted to create something that my customers could actually enjoy while they’re out on the creek, hanging around the camp, or just sitting at home thinking about their next trip down the water.
So I went to work.
I’ve put a LOT of time, work, and heart into creating this, and I’m pretty damn proud of what came out of it.
Sweet. Salty. Crunchy. Addictive.
And before River Crunch hits the shelves, I wanted MY Facebook followers to be the first people to get their hands on it. 🤘🏼

Looking Ahead 🛶❤️
This first year is about building the Poker Run and putting The Yak-Guy on the map. I’ve invested a lot of time and money into making this event happen, so I can’t promise what we’ll be able to give back just yet.
But my goal is that as this event grows, next year and beyond, it will become something that benefits not only The Yak-Guy, but our kayaking community and the people around us. ❤️🛶 thank you again for supporting a small local business. #

Something BIG Is Coming 👀
I’ve been a little quiet about what’s going on behind the scenes at The Yak Guy…
But today I can tell you this:
Yesterday I just made one of the biggest purchases The Yak Guy has ever made for the business. 🤯
I’m not ready to tell you exactly what it is yet… but I can promise you, it’s going to change things around here.
We’re also only 10 DAYS AWAY from the Kayaking Poker Run! 🛶♠️♥️
Now we just need the water levels to cooperate and Mother Nature to work with us. 🤞
And there’s even MORE happening behind the scenes that I’m keeping under wraps for now. 😉
Let’s just say… The Yak Guy is getting ready for something BIG.

Yesterday I finally got out on the water for a couple hours, kayaking from Grimes Bridge down to Lock 57. It was a beautiful day, and for once, I didn’t take a single picture. 😂 I know… shocking! I was actually enjoying the water instead of worrying about getting the perfect shot. And honestly, that’s what being on the water is all about. It gave me some time to slow down, think, and appreciate it all.
Now I’m just hoping Mother Nature cooperates and gives us another beautiful day for the Poker Run! 🤞☀️🛶

The countdown is on for The Yak-Guy’s 1st Annual Poker Run! 🛶♠️
This is the FIRST one, but my goal is to make this an annual event that gets bigger and better every year! I can't thank everyone enough for the support you've already shown The Yak-Guy. This is just the beginning! 🤘
📍 Registration will be at Little Beaver Creek Park.
🚗 Bringing two vehicles? Leave one at the finish and one at the park so you won't have to worry about the shuttle afterward.
🚌 Only bringing one vehicle? No problem! A FREE shuttle will be provided at the bottom to get you back to the park before we take off.
🍦 80s ice cream will be waiting at the finish! A little old-school treat after a day on the creek.
👕 Poker Run shirts are PRE-ORDER ONLY! They will NOT be available at the park, so make sure you order yours ahead of time.

Get registered, get your kayak ready, and let's make the first one a day to remember!
