Little update on the state of the car. Keith got a new motor put together and in the car, and it is running great. We did a few upgrades to try to protect the motor from future failures. Eric Gambill took the car to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course do to a 10/10ths track day, and a NASA race weekend to test the car out. The car performed flawlessly, and Eric even bagged a win!

We will race with ChampCar Endurance Series at Mid Ohio next weekend, September 5th and 6th. Follow along for updates!

Summary from Sebring and just some of the work before making the event.

On June 20th Ryan, Clay, Eric, and I went to Puntum Park. Clay and Ryan ran the car most of the day without major issues. A few overheating concerns but we planned to fix that with a new radiator.

June 22nd, Clay unloaded the car to put it on the lift for fluids and some changes. Somehow the oil pressure was too high and oil blew past the oil filter gasket and some issues with the front cover. We all, including Keith, rushed to replace the oiling system, front cover, and radiator. Test drove the car and all seemed well.

June 23rd, Clay tested the car, and all was well. We would load up the next day!

June 25th, Clay, Ryan, Josh, Jason, Tyler, and I start the 17-hour trip south. Eric was already in Florida. We got a room and would finish the trip on the 26th.

On test day at Sebring, June 26th, each driver did a short stint in the daylight. Josh, Eric, and I also did a quick night stint. The car was running at similar temperatures to the test day back at home. We fixed a few voltage issues later that evening and changed brake pads. It's Sebring so we also checked all suspension bolts!

Race day! June 27th, we all slept in a bit and everyone joined for breakfast. We got to the track and set up the pit wall more and organized our areas to be more efficient.

Eric got selected to start the race! We rolled off just before 6PM for the start of the race. He got the green flag then he was in some heavy traffic. Unfortunately, 6 or 7 laps later the piston decided to blow a hole right through the block on the driver's side. I had a front row seat to it, in turn 7. The safety crew arrived quickly and we started to pack up. We got on the road and made it into Georgia before resting for the evening.

We are currently on route to Linton still, but praying for a safe finish to our trip. Thank you to our sponsors!

Driver's-eye view with Austin on his single nighttime flying lap. This is the back section of the track, and the camera picks up a bit more light than the human eye! We race under the stars at 6pm today!

Test day completed, successfully! We all got a few laps in the car here at Sebring. We will spend the next hour checking every suspension bolt, changing brake pads, and fixing a few issues that have come up at the end. We will be back in the middle of the afternoon to finish setting up! Race starts at 6pm and will end at 6am Sunday Morning! Should be about 9 hours of darkness!

We made it safely to Sebring! Practice is from 6pm-10pm this evening!

We are ready for Sebring!

But the drama never ends! Sunday while unloading, we had an oiling system or something fail. On Monday, Clay, Ryan, Keith, and I got the car taken apart and replaced the front cover. Clay tested the car on Tuesday and everything ran the way it should!

We are loaded and ready for the 16-hour drive south in the morning! Praying for safe travel and a great race!
