UPDATE:
Project 15lb gain/loss complete!
Recap. I put on 15lbs in 6 weeks just to turn around and start the process of losing it.
I hit my goal this morning 2 days shy of 5 weeks.
Here's the weekly breakdown:
Week 1 = starting weight 211.8
Week 2 = 204.4 (3 days of headaches from reducing carb intake)
Week 3 = 200.8
Week 4 = 200.6 (very discouraged to only drop .2 of a lb, but stalls happen)
Week 5 = 196.5
How did I do it?
Workout 5x a week. (4 lifting days, 1 HIIT)
I consumed less calories than I burned.
I weighed all of my food & tracked EVERY single item I ate via the Fitbit 6 app.
CALORIC DEFICIT works! Period. End of story.
Eat less. Burn more. Repeat.
During these 5 weeks there were some slip ups. Cookies, cake, fatty red meat. However, if you play the game right you can survive those slip ups and still lose weight!
Today I will celebrate my hitting my goal with a giant cheeseburger & beer for lunch and maybe a pizza for dinner.
Saturday will start a new goal to drop down to 190lbs. I anticipate this next 6.5lbs to be a harder goal to hit as I've already picked the low hanging fruit and the weight drop will be much slower.
The grind continues.

Why I gained 15lbs just to show you how to lose it.
I want to prove caloric deficit is the ultimate driver of weight loss regardless of what you eat. I decided 6 weeks ago to put on some extra weight INTENTIONALLY.
I tracked every gram, hit my surplus, and watched the scale climb. (I'm not going to lie, eating the extra food was a blast, but I feel like a slug)
Now it's time to flip the switch. I have calculated my maintenance macros and will work daily to maintain a caloric deficit.
I'm sharing this information with you because I want to take the mystery out of weight loss.
💪You don’t need magic supplements or extreme restriction.
💪You need a plan & accurate data.
💪Most importantly you need the discipline to execute.
My weigh in day will be Sunday mornings and you are all welcome to follow along as I will post results via 250N Fitness story.
Below my starting weight for reference.
*In order to stay on track, I'll pay a $10 bounty to anyone who catches me eating donuts. I got waaay too comfortable eating those fat pills*
