Our 9 year old granddaughter, Elaina competed in a mounted archery competition with us this weekend. She hit 2 targets for the first time while riding someone else’s horse.
She also won the Warrior Spirit award because she makes sure she meets everyone and encourages all of them and shares her testimony with them. Marlena Battenfield Michael Battenfield

Here is a video showing some of my shooting style and how I kind of got here in my Comanche or Plains style horse archery. Because there is almost no documented evidence explaining specific shooting styles we are mostly left with historical artifacts, first hand accounts of Feat’s accomplished by mounted Plains Indians and practical experience to try and reconstruct this largely lost equestrian martial art.
